QAKdesign was established in 2018 by Paul Johnston and is a small web design agency based in North East England. QAKdesign works primarily with small businesses and creative people but has also built websites for clubs and societies and learning organisations.

Paul has worked professionally in a wide range of fields, including web design, public sector finance and the charity sector. Having worked in mainly public sector finance, Paul decided to return to his love of computers and completed a master’s degree in computing while setting up QAKdesign. He has collaborated on a number of projects with artists and scientists in recent years.
